Falcon to Release 65 Films in 2005

SAN FRANCISCO - The Falcon Family of Companies, the umbrella for several lines of gay erotic content including Falcon Studios, Mustang and Jocks, will release 65 titles this year, including many DVD reissues of its products from the 70s and 80s.

Falcon Studios, founded in 1973, has been gradually reissuing on DVD its classic catalogue of 400 titles. The final 52 will be released this year, along with 13 new features. The schedule reflects the highest release output in Falcon's history.

“We have an almost hermetically-sealed, fire-proof, waterproof vault where we keep our history,” Falcon Promotions and Events Manager Troy Prickett told XBiz. “And we’ve assembled an incredible art and editing team just to deal with the new box covers and DVD art the reissues will require.”

Falcon’s studio, library and offices are located in a converted firehouse in San Francisco.

Falcon’s new titles include a two-part ‘Destinations” release set in New Zealand, Steven Scarborough’s “Bootstrap,” which is the director’s first film for Falcon's in 12 years, and Chi Chi LaRue’s “Heaven to Hell.”

“This will be Chi Chi’s final film for Falcon,” Prockett said. “She’s done so many titles for us but now she has her own studio, Rascal, and decided that this should be her last. We said, ‘Go to town; do what you want!” and she did. This production is going to be very elaborate.”

“Heaven to Hell” will feature all of Falcon’s exclusive talent in lavish costumes and sets designed by Bradley Picklesimer. Picklesimer recently designed Sir Elton John’s Academy Awards party.
