The Content Store Adds Pandemonium, Critical X

LOS ANGELES — Content licensor TheContentStore.com has added two new studio partners to its growing roster of content offerings for webmaster licensing. The additions of Pandemonium DVD and Critical X adds more than 200 titles to TheContentStore.com’s library.

“It’s been a great month for TheContentStore.com,” owner J$tyle$ told XBIZ. “Signing both Pandemonium DVD and Critical X is a coup for me that increases our library by over 200 titles in a multitude of high-demand niches. It seems more and more studios are finally ‘getting it.’ They’re coming to understand that licensing their DVDs for webmaster use is an important ancillary revenue source that doesn’t negatively impact their income from other distribution points.

“It’s only logical that the consumer that purchases hard goods is still buying hard goods. He wants to watch his porn on TV. The surfer that uses video-on-demand services has chosen that manner of viewing over joining membership sites. Membership sites simply offer another outlet to monetize each title the studios bring to market and helps further establish their brand and future demand. It improves their bottom line and garners additional exposure, and my clients benefit greatly by being able to license some of the best content on the market.”

Gonzo studio Critical X started in May 2005 and releases niche-specific content. Its featured stars include Lauren Phoenix, Lucy Lee, Trina Michaels, Michelle Maylene, Tory Lane, Hillary Scott and Katsumi. Critical X releases three to four titles per month.

Pandemonium decided to go with The Content Store because of the company’s long-standing reputation in the webmaster community.

“I’m extremely satisfied with our relationship and the results we've seen thus far, even before signing this exclusive deal,” Pandemonium owner Jon Sable said. “Although I was a bit hesitant about releasing our DVD titles originally, I've come to embrace the fact that this is an excellent new avenue for distribution and additional exposure for our brand. I look forward to working with TheContentStore.com and releasing new titles to them and their webmaster clients regularly long into the future.”

TheContentStore.com offers content encoded for both Real Player and Windows Media Player in three different bitrates.
