OTB Video specializes in twink content with lines including Passionate Twinks, Original Red Hot Boyz and Twink Academy. The first OTB title to be distributed by All Boys Video is titled “Cumaholics” from the Bareback Cum party series, at the end of July.
The deal was struck after All Boys Video owner Bob Ragan said he was approached by OTB to handle their product after being dissatisfied with its former distribution company.
“I believe it is essential for a studio to work with wholesalers who not only understand their ideas but also are open in their discussions of options and plans for the future,” OTB’s Rene said. “With the guys from ABV the talks were completely upbeat from the start and we expect a lot from working with them. In Europe we are already extremely popular, and with this new distribution deal in place I’m sure many Americans will now get the pleasure of watching our movies as well.”
Ragan noted he prefers working with studios that already have well-branded product and high production values.
“I don’t want to become one of those guys that I’m putting out so many titles every month that I don’t care about my studios anymore,” Ragan told XBIZ. “We care a great deal about who we deal with, and we try to work together with them rather than just try to lay out the rules. I consider all the studios we work with to be partners in my company and we try to maximize all of our resources together and that seems to be working out really well.”
“We were very impressed with the way that OTB presented themselves to us and believe this will be one of the most sought after bareback titles lines available in the market,” Ragan said.
According to Ragan, OTB is a European studio that shoots much of its content in South America as well as Europe. Their content also is primarily bareback, which Ragan said is currently dominating the market.
“It’s like anything else; if you’re not supposed to have it, you want it. That’s just human nature. Barebacking is becoming more mainline than condom. Condom-only films are becoming obsolete, which is scary,” Ragan said.
Ragan was clear in stating that neither he nor anyone connected with All Boys endorses the practice of barebacking. However he stressed also the films they sell are fantasy scenarios for audiences to but not necessarily emulate in their personal lives.
“I would have no problem if the industry were to make bareback films illegal from a moral standpoint,” Ragan said. “But from a business standpoint, I think that because this is a the highest revenue generator right now for any type of content, I’ve got to go with the flow on that.”
