Black Market Partners With Hush Money for New Sites

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Black Market, producers of urban ethnic adult movies, has become the first studio partner to join the Hush Money affiliate program. The adult studio recently launched five paysites that have been folded into Hush Money.

Black Market President James Melendy told XBIZ that he felt the timing was right for a robust online presence and had sought out a deal to bring content online from his studio’s various niche DVD lines. Shane’s World Vice President of Sales Megan Stokes introduced Melendy to Hush Money and the deal was made.

“We were at a point where we had built the lines up and were in a position where we had enough content to launch a bunch of sites,” Melendy said. “Black Market has great content, Hush Money has the traffic, and I expect this partnership to be a success. Having these sites built around our content maintains the exclusivity of what we produce.”

Melendy said that the partnership between his company and Hush Money is “basically 50/50” meaning that the two companies will split commissions earned through paying members. Melendy said the sites would feature content from Black Market’s DVDs and exclusive content shot specifically for the web.

Black Market’s initial batch of sites are ShortyMacAdventures.com, LittleRedRidingTheHood.com, OoooWee.com, XXXAssapalooza.com and SexyChoco.com. Melendy said that six more sites are in the works and that he would like a total of 20 eventually.

Hush Money has a proven track record of building successful paysites — the company originated Blackzilla — and specializes in interracial content. Melendy feels that since Black Market mainly shoots black-on-black content, his sites would perfectly compliment the Hush Money portfolio.

“I really believe in the money-making opportunities of this partnership,” Melendy said. “I really have to thank Hush Money for getting behind me so solidly. We’re a new company, but well on our way towards making our mark.”

Black Market’s next membership sites to launch will be centered around content from the Alley Cats, Womenopoly, Pinky’s House and What’s Crackin’ lines.
