Funeral Arrangements Announced for Lenny Friedlander

NEW ORLEANS — The funeral for New Beginnings owner Lenny Friedlander will take place Aug. 8. Friedlander will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetary in New Orleans.

Viewing is scheduled for 1 p.m. with a private interment to follow.

Friedlander passed away at his home in Louisiana on Sunday. He was 50 years old.

The larger-than-life industry veteran began his adult career in 1978 in collections at Marlan Distributors, eventually moving into sales. He founded New Beginnings and became the president of the Free Speech Coalition.

Friedlander’s family has started an online guestbook for friends and family to sign. It can be found here.

Friedlander is survived by his wife, son and two daughters.
