Friedlander passed away at his home in Louisiana on Sunday. He was 50 years old.
The larger-than-life industry veteran began his adult career in 1978 in collections at Marlan Distributors, eventually moving into sales. He founded New Beginnings and became the president of the Free Speech Coalition.

Friedlander is survived by his wife, son and two daughters.
