Password-By-Phone Offers Warning Page

LONDON — Phone billing processor Password-By-Phone.com has introduced a new “over 18 only” warning page, available in 37 languages. The page also contains links to major child-protection solution sites, carries ICRA and ASACP labels, and includes a link to Sexaholics Anonymous for surfers with addiction problems.

The page is available free of charge to Password-By-Phone clients, and current clients can add it by placing “&wp=1” at the end of any existing URL.

“We did it because of the open architecture of the Internet. The web isn't called the 'World Wide Web' for nothing," Password-By-Phone Business Development Manager Marc Jarrett told XBIZ. "Any page or website has access to a global audience, and that is why we have translated the call to action that the server sees in so many languages — so that we and our clients can capture growth markets like Brazil, India and China where credit card penetration is very low, but where phone access is on a par with that in the West."

Password-By-Phone provides billing via phone to 240 countries in 37 languages. The company offers affiliate programs a way to bill their members in regions where many people don’t own credit cards.
