AEBN Rolls Out BabesOnSports.com

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Video-on-demand network AEBN is planning to launch its latest venture BabesOnSports.com. Billed as "sports un-coverage like you've never seen before," the weekly program will feature nude, sports-savvy anchorwomen delivering sports news.

The program will debut on Sept. 5 with a special National Football League kick-off show. Starting Sept. 14, the regular show will be updated weekly with news, scores and information from the world of sports. An up-to-the-minute sports ticker will stream current information during the broadcast.

Viewers will be able to see the show at BabesOnSports.com and are not required to sign up on the AEBN network.

“The credit for the original idea goes to our company president, Scott Coffman,” AEBN’s Kellie Barker told XBIZ. “AEBN dabbled with something similar several years ago called ‘All Nude Sports’ which was really way ahead of its time. Our new studio production crew decided it was time to give it another try — bigger and better than anything we could've conceived six years ago.

“Not only that but we've definitely added a new twist — there's a reality-show quality to it, with great behind-the-scenes coverage that'll take viewers to the other side of the camera. It's really two shows for the price of one.”

According to Barker, local models have been hired to be the first BabesOnSports.com sportscasters but the company still is holding auditions and looking for talent to add to the show roster.

Specific plans for live coverage of sporting events are not in the works as of yet, but Barker said the company is open to possibilities.

“Our plan is to go out there, take it one show at a time, and give it 110 percent,” the show’s producer and AEBN Creative Director Shawn Gentry said. “Really though, I think our show will be more entertaining than most of the actual games each week.

“We’ve got football and attractive women taking their clothes off. Throw a pizza and some beer into the mix and you won’t leave your house until February.”
