Joanna Angel to Appear, Preview New Video at LAEFF

LOS ANGELES — Performer/director Joanna Angel will show a 20-minute cut of her latest video "Not Another Porn Movie" at the Los Angeles Erotica Film Fest this weekend. The video will screen at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Eroticore program.

"The movie isn't coming out until next winter but I submitted it to the film festival because I thought people who like porn enough to go to a porn film festival would appreciate a porn, about a porn," Angel said.

The production satirizes porn clichés including the naughty nurse, the slutty secretary, the cable guy and the classic girl who ordered a pizza. It also features "the best cheesy porn music you've ever heard" played by a live band.

"Not Another Porn Movie" stars Joanna Angel, Pinky Lee, January Darling, Pixie Pearl, and Jade Jolie. The DVD was produced by BurningAngel Entertainment and will be distributed by Bad Seed on its release in January 2008. The trailer is available here.

Angel also will participate in the Erotica Today panel moderated by director Eli Cross at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, and a scene from "Re-Penetrator" with Angel will screen on Sept. 16 as part of the Meta-Erotica program.

"That is a classic," Angel said. "It came out over three years ago, which is ancient in porn land, but people still love it, and it just never gets old. I mean, seriously: How can zombie sex get old?"

The Los Angeles Erotica Film Fest will offer short erotic films submitted from within the adult industry and fans around the world with the support of presenting sponsors XFANZ, Pulpo Inc. and ImLive.com. Sponsors BurningAngel Entertainment, Vivid Alt, Silver Lake Film Festival, Arrow Productions, Cinekink NYC, Adam & Eve Pictures, Indie 103.1FM, Yelp.com and Los Angeles City Beat will help the fest provide a forum for innovative filmmakers of erotica.
