The collaboration between Damron and COLT marks the first time that the guide has featured gay adult performers on its cover.
“When we were looking for a new marketing twist and many of our hundreds of thousands of readers both online and with the guide asked for a more modern and masculine look, I called my friend John Rutherford over at COLT,” Damron President and Editor-In-Chief Gina Gatta said. “We've already heard rave reviews from our solid stable of retailers, distributors and the like on how much they love the new cover with COLT Men Carlo Masi and Adam Champ.”
Referred to by the New York Times as “the little Black Book of gay travel,” the Damron Guide has five publications featuring gay-friendly tourist destinations, including the Women’s Traveler, Damron’s City Guide, the Accommodations Guide and the guide to Amsterdam.
“Gina and her team of gay writers and designers have been the world's leader in gay listings and the like for all gay travelers and beyond,” COLT owner John Rutherford said. “I don't leave for any business trip or shoot without it in my pocket. Damron has been known for its quality, accuracy and status in the gay lifestyle and we're very proud to have our COLT Men on the cover for the world to see.”
Damron Guide was founded in 1964 by traveling businessman Bob Damron who compiled listings of gay nightclubs, later expanding to other types of tourist destinations including hotels, cafes, restaurants, gyms, saunas and resorts.
