Following the record-breaking success of their political thriller "Corruption," the company said director Eli Cross has created his most breathtaking piece of work yet with a movie so big, it took more than six months to create and now has sold out of the initial replication run during the pre-release sales period.
“We knew 'Upload' would be big after what happened with 'Corruption' but I didn’t realize it would be such a monster hit so quickly,” SexZ Pictures CEO Bo Kenney said.
“I was thrilled when I talked to Bo and discovered the movie was already selling well before even being released,” Cross said. “Ren Savant and I have been so deep in editing, neither of us has seen daylight for weeks, so this came as a welcome shock.”
The epic movie set in the near future is expected by the company to contend for Movie of the Year honors. It stars Hillary Scott and Eva Angelina in a fast-paced action adventure of good vs. evil where computer hacking might destroy life as we know it.
“This is the biggest thing I’ve ever attempted,” Cross said. “I think if I’d really understood how tough this movie was going to be, I wouldn’t have done it. But I’m thrilled with the result.”
"Upload" features a dozen sex scenes and a cast of 40-plus, thrilling locations and mainstream-quality visual effects, according to a representative.
“That’s why we have Eli Cross making movies for us because he brings Hollywood and hardcore sex together in a way nobody else can,” Kenney said.
The DVD is expected to hit stores at the end of September.
