Adult Rental, Wicked Sign VOD Deal

TORONTO — Adult studio Wicked Pictures is the latest addition to Adult Rental's roster of adult video-on-demand content, and will be featured in a specially designed library of select titles.

Wicked Chief Technology Officer Avi told XBIZ that Wicked tapped Adult Rental because of its unique market, and because the VOD site understands Wicked's brand, he said knew it would be an effective partnership.

"They have their own traffic stream and they can hopefully market efficiently to people that might wouldn't otherwise have come upon a Wicked title being prominently represented," Avi said. "[Adult Rental] understands that this is premium high-production-value feature content, and they are going to market it accordingly."

Adult Rental users will be able to browse a special selection of Wicked titles in a separate library unique to the studio, and even can search content according to a featured Wicked Girl.

“This is a natural partnership between two reputed companies,” Paul Armstrong, Adult Rental director of business development said. "We have an award-winning program and unparalleled technology, and Wicked Pictures has incredible, high-quality product that our customers have come to expect from us."

Avi said he especially is pleased with Adult Rental's willingness to showcase Wicked's content to assure it stands out among the many titles in the VOD site's library.

"This is a way to let those people who are looking to consume adult that might not otherwise know who we are," Avi said. "It's another way to win new fans."

Avi said the deal originally was signed in August, and the two companies have set mid-December as a target date for the Wicked library to go live on AdultRental.com.
