Cybernet Expo Moves to San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO — Cybernet Expo is headed for the Bay Area.

Jay Kopita, director of the event, told XBIZ that “everyone at YNOT loves San Francisco.” And that’s why Cybernet Expo will be held at the Golden Gateway Hotel in San Francisco from June 10-13.

“The city is an exciting place to visit, very accessible, and will attract webmasters and adult business from all over the world,” Kopita said. “We also love the fact that San Francisco has not been overdone. There have only been a small handful of adult Internet events in that city.

"San Francisco also has a laid-back and progressive attitude towards sexuality and social issues, which makes the city attractive to all markets of adult.”

Cybernet Expo, now in its 11th year, features seminars on operating adult websites for profit and networking opportunities and events such as marketing presentations and networking events. Last year the event was held in Tampa, Fla.; in years prior it was held in San Diego.

“Well, when you're talking about Cybernet Expo, you're talking about consistency,” Kopita said. “The industry knows now that Cybernet will be taking place every year in that same June time slot, so the question really comes down to where the show will take place.

The Golden Gateway Hotel is a newly renovated, 26-floor, 500-room hotel with broadband access located in the heart of San Francisco, just steps away from the historic California Street cable car turnaround. The hotel has more than 18,000 square feet of meeting space.
