Hwang was found lying half-out of his bed at an Economy Inn after the motel's manager was unable to reach him via telephone. Police said they will release the cause of death once a toxicology report is completed.
The Santa Clara County coroner's office told XBIZ that the toxicology report currently is pending and could take up to three months to be completed.
Hwang's wife, Maryam Irene Haley, aka adult performer Haley Paige, was found dead Aug. 21 in King City, Calif. Police Sgt. Steve Miller told the Morgan Hill Times that Hwang was implicated in her death, which he confirmed was murder, but would not release further information.
Investigation into Haley's death is ongoing.
Hwang directed adult movies for Anabolic and Diabolic studios. His lines include "No Swallowing Allowed," "Down the Hatch" and "Gang Bang Auditions."
