The company has installed an innovative "carousel" order-picking system in the new facility which allows for fast and accurate order fulfillment. "Our facility is the best operation in the adult industry to handle both speedy and accurate order fulfillment for e-commerce and mail order," said Rick Porras, Metro's head of operations.
The company's new facility includes a state-of-the-art graphics department and a digitized content management system allowing it to organize and streamline its library of adult media content.
Metro also has put together a new team of people, including Marianne Lovett, who is now heading the graphics department after over 20 years of work experience, most recently for VCA/LFP.
Under the direction of Mara Epstein and joined by Matt Diglio, foreign sales manager, and Richard Perez, national sales manager, the sales department has expanded its staff, as has the marketing and promotions department, which now consists of Kelly LaBanco, who previously worked in promotions for both Epic and Columbia Records and Jennifer Antonoff of New Frontier Media.
The production department is headed by Gustavo Chavarria, who works with directors including Skeeter Kerkove, Brittany Foster, Pat Myne, Mike Adams, Hank Spain and the newly signed Bridgett Kerkove. The department has many new series under development, with a new high-definition line to be launched in July 2005.
