Digital Playground Releases 1st Dual Layer HD DVD

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Digital Playground is releasing “Island Fever 4” on a dual-layer 30GB HD DVD disc with the entire movie and more than five hours of extras all in high-definition — a company first.

Separating itself from the standard definition release, “Island Fever 4” on HD DVD features 1080p resolution and Dolby 5.1 digital surround sound. The full three-hour and 18-minute movie along with the behind-the-scenes and extras come on one disc.

“It was always my intention to show ‘Island Fever 4’ in HD,” director Joone said. “I am very pleased with the result and excited to see the consumer response.”

“Island Fever 4” is the first HD DVD to star all of Digital Playground’s exclusive contract superstars. Digital Playground girls Jesse Jane, Teagan Presley, Jana Cova and Sophia Santi are paired together with Kinzie Kenner, Marie Luv, Evan Stone, Scott Nails, Tommy Gunn, Marco Banderas and Jean Val Jean for 16 full-blown sex scenes including 10 boy/girls, five girl/girls and a four-girl orgy, plus a dozen solo sequences.

“The Island Fever series always does exceptionally but the staggering HD numbers for ‘Island Fever 4’ have surprised us all,” Digital Playground President Samantha Lewis said. “Its release was timed to coincide perfectly with a significant reduction in price on Toshiba’s HD DVD player.”

GameLink.com Business Development Manager Jeff Dillon backs Digital Playground’s HD product strongly.

“‘Island Fever 4’ is a perfect example of why you should have an HD player, and preferably a big-screen TV as well," he said. "The outstanding technical sophistication of the picture, combined with the sheer beauty of the stars, the locations and the cinematography make this a movie you absolutely must do justice to by watching it on the best system available. ‘Island Fever 4’ is the template for what HD DVDs should look like when technical skills and aesthetic sensibilities are both at their best.”
