Similar to other web-enabled products like the Sinulator in its use of battery-powered sex toys attached to a user’s computer, High Joy’s Doc Johnson products are manipulated via web browser. The difference is that Highjoy also has a dating network and affiliate program built into its user experience.
The company launched its Doc Johnson-branded iVibe Rabbits last year but added the dating site last month. Four levels of membership – which are currently free for a limited time – include options for “monogamous” couples to connect over large distances and random searches of willing singles according to gender, age and area. The service allows for anonymous membership and chat-request blocking.
“It’s the logical evolution of online interaction,” High Joy president Amir Vatan said. “with High Joy technology, consenting adults can be intimate from anywhere in the world.”
Memberships do not include equipment, which can be purchased separately from the High Joy online store. Only Doc Johnson products are approved for use with the High Joy system.
Company founders Vatan and Derek Bacon conceived of the interactive technology in 1998, according to company literature. The full-time development of what would become the High Joy Enabled brand began in 2001. High Joy’s chat client and other software applications are patent pending.
High Joy’s affiliate program pays on the bases of both membership on HighJoy.com as well as the purchase of Doc Johnson products.
