Misty Ray, Empire Labs Director of Sales and Marketing, told XBIZ that the company had an opportunity to work closely with the inventor of the Tongue Vibe to create a product comparable to, but not as expensive as, the nondisposable versions currently on the market.
Ray also said Empire Labs aimed to be the first company to offer a tongue-mounted vibrator that glows in the dark and is lightweight.
"We had been working on prototypes before the disposable market really took off," Ray said. "With the increasing buyer excitement for vibes for the mouth, we moved quickly to finalize our design to be ready when these new vibe enthusiasts were ready to make a small vibe investment in a nondisposable."
The Tongue Vibe comes packaged in a plastic compact carrying case for easy storage and transport. Ray said that the product was a top-seller during its soft launch, and the only possible change to be made in the future is the size of the clamshell pack.
"[Buyers] loved the price point, the design of the package and the compact-style case with extra batteries," Ray said.
