Harmony Selects Hentai PR to Lead Worldwide Media

LONDON — English adult video producer Harmony Films named Woodland Hills, Calif.-based Hentai Public Relations to spearhead its worldwide media efforts.

Harmony Films is home to critically acclaimed directors Gazzman and Tanya Hyde, as well as Dave West. The company produces the "Fuck Me" and "Young Harlots" lines. It was named Best Film Brand by the English adult magazine Erotic Trade Only in July.

Hentai Public Relations serves the media consultation needs of adult production companies, including Mercenary Pictures and VCX. A former Adult Video News DVD editor and business reporter, company President Wayne Hentai is an alumnus of the University of Hawaii's School of Journalism and the Defense Information School.

Jason Maskell, Harmony's head of sales and marketing, said the company chose Hentai to take the lead of its publicity around the world because of his background, experience and contacts.

"While we're very pleased with our reputation and name recognition within the U.K., we felt it was time to make our titles known to a wider audience and grow our brand," Maskell said. "The American market is very important and Wayne will help us gain wider entree to its blogs, magazines and fans.

"He will also play an important role in building our international profile. His favorable reputation among the adult media also impressed us deeply," he said.

Hentai said the international nature of the offer was a surprise.

"I expected to work on the American end of Harmony Films' push, but pleased does not begin to express what I felt when they asked me to work with them on a global capacity," he said.

"Harmony puts out great movies and I'm looking forward to working with them and adding them to my client list. As an adult industry professional, I watch a lot of titles and Harmony always impresses me with the production values and the quality of their performers in every movie," Hentai said.
