Although South closed the offices, he kept his paperwork up to date.
"I kept the phone number, I kept my permit, my bond, my state license," South told XBIZ. "I renewed everything. It's been current all along."
South stresses that World Modeling has a state license and the state-mandated $50,000 bond. The bond is required because of the mainstream protocol of paying the agent, who deducts service fees and then remits the rest to talent.
"I've always been upfront with the girls," South said, detailing the process of representing female talent. "All I need is a couple of good, standing, frontal-nude shots, a back shot showing the fanny and a close-up from the waist up so I have a good shot of the face. "With her permission only, I email the pictures out, I put them up on my website. If anybody calls me, I find out what kind of a scene they want, what company it is, if possible who she'll be working with, how much they're paying, and if she'll be paid the same day or if they're on payroll. I get back to her and she makes a decision."
World Modeling is returning to its old office location at 4523 Van Nuys Blvd., Suite 203, in Sherman Oaks.
"I've been there so long I've been through three different owners of the building," South said.
