XBIZ Announces Hollywood Conference '08 Special Events

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — XBIZ Hollywood '08 Industry Conference organizers have announced the program of special events scheduled for the annual trade event, held at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel Feb. 6-8.

The conference will kick off with Porn Poker, an evening of old Hollywood style mixed with good old winner-takes-all competition with an evening Texas Hold'em tournament.

The first day will conclude with an Opening Night Reception at Hollywood hot-spot Ritual Supper Club, where conference attendees will enjoy a fully-stocked bar. Immediately following will be the 8th Annual Cybersocket Web Awards, and attendees are encouraged to stick around to honor the best of online gay adult.

Hollywood Conference attendees can also enjoy a special Networking Happy Hour both Day 1 and 2, held at the historic Tropicana poolside bar, which has been a networking and drinking "it" spot since the 1930s.

Day 2 will feature a one-of-a-kind Speed Networking event, which lets attendees cut to the chase and meet with up to 30 industry figures in just one hour. In a rapid-fire style, participants will share a table with a different person for a few minutes and leave the small talk behind and get straight to business.

Scheduled later that day will be the anticipated Piracy Roundtable and Meeting, a crucial discussion about content piracy, the threat it proves to the adult industry, what people are doing to combat it, and what legal and technical safeguards are available.

That night will also be host to the 6th Annual XBIZ Awards at The Highlands, an event that, for the first time, will honor the achievements of production studios, web companies and adult stars. Hosted by Digital Playground contract star Jesse Jane and Internet entrepreneur Kevin "KB" Blatt, the awards will begin with a red carpet ceremony.

Immediately following the awards will be D-Money's Players Ball held at The Highlands, which will transform the venue for a post-awards bash.

And on the last day, XBIZ will host a Hooters Farewell Lunch, a chance to finish business deals and say goodbye over pitchers of beer and bottomless plates of hot wings — the perfect way to recover from a wild night with friends and conclude another successful XBIZ conference.
