In the show, Angel gets a tattoo from veteran artist Corey Miller. Miller, who has been tattooing for 25 years, specializes in black and gray portraits and dragons that merge the traditional and classic styles with his own.
"The tattoo is of a broken woman's symbol with the face of a woman in it," Angel said. "It was supposed to represent the duality of the strengths and weaknesses that come along with being a female entrepreneur in the adult industry.
"The whole day was a lot of fun," Angel said. "The artists had me do a fake orgasm while I was getting tattooed and everyone got a kick out of it. I also did some pole tricks and made Corey feel as uncomfortable as I possibly could."
"LA Ink" revolves around artist Kat Von D, who has come home to Los Angeles to fulfill her dream of opening up her own tattoo shop. For her shop to be a success, Kat has to balance her lifestyle and her business while managing a colorful staff of tattoo artists.
The episode airs Jan. 8th on TLC at 10 p.m. and repeats at 11 p.m. For more information, visit LA Ink’s official show website.
