Owner Kevin Beech told XBIZ at AEE that the new line — Sex Line Sinema — will shoot videos that are “story-driven” and “couples friendly.”
To start, Beech said, the division will release two titles a month beginning next month, and the videos will be directed by Cash Markman.
Beech said the decision to create the unit stemmed from the demand from his largest client.
“Our biggest retail account has more than 500 stores nationwide,” he said. “And that’s all they carry.”
Beech also said that the company continues to branch out in terms of its distribution model and that it is less dependent on DVD sales and more so on VOD and IPTV sales.
“You’ve got to do everything today,” he said. “There’s no more loyalty to DVD sales anymore, and consumers aren’t so loyal to brands, as well.”
