Sunset Thomas to Appear on 'Tyra Banks Show'

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Vavoom Films contract star Sunset Thomas will appear on "The Tyra Banks Show" today to discuss her sex addiction and share the stage with therapist Dr. Drew.

Vavoom Vice President Kent Wallace told XBIZ that he heard of the show's premise and knew Thomas would be a perfect guest because she is a self-proclaimed sex addict. Plus, he added, the fact that Thomas will soon be filming her final movie after an almost four-year hiatus shows her devotion to sex.

"I told her, 'You can be sexy now without having sex,' but she would hear non-of-it," Wallace said. "She wanted to go out with a bang.”

Wallace said that during the taping of the show, Banks was "very pleasant" to Thomas, but it's anyone's guess to see how the producers edited the show. He especially hopes that Thomas' introduction on the show remains uncut and unedited, for it was the highlight of the show.

"Tyra introduced all the guests with their problems she saved Sunset for last," Wallace said. "When she described Sunset’s problem as sex addiction, the place erupted into howls and applause. This crowd was 99-percent female — Tyra actually said, 'What are you clapping for? This is supposed to be a problem.'"

Wallace also said that Dr. Drew attempted to tell Thomas that as long as she's involved intimately with the industry, via Vavoom Films, she'd never be able to stop performing, but Thomas shot him down.

"Dr. Drew was convinced that she couldn’t do just one more film," Wallace said. "Sunset flat out told them that this was her finale and no one or nothing would keep her from giving this gift to her fans."

Thomas' episode of "The Tyra Banks Show" will air today at 5 p.m. PDT. Check local listing here.
