BurningAngel.com began as a website but has now begun releasing DVDs. Angel is an icon in what has become known as the "altporn" scene, a community that includes the Suicide Girls, directors Eon McKai and Benny Profane and performers Keiko and Felix Vicious.
“I’m the boss of my own company, far away from the porn world,” Angel told XBiz, “and so when people ask me what the difference is between altporn and mainstream porn, I want to be able to tell them.”
Angel is scouting her first non Burning Angel scene. She was put in touch with BadAss Models’ BadAss Frank Prather by mutual friend Eon McKai. Prather’s small company has recently produced a Miami version of Porn Star Karaoke and represents performers Tricia Oaks and Serena Sin.
Prather notes that it is difficult to market an actress with tattoos in the Valley. “Even though so many people between the ages of 18 and 40 have tattoos now,” he told XBiz, “it seems like companies will often reject beautiful women like Jezebel Bond because they have tattoos.”
Angel says that running her own company is very rewarding but also keeps her isolated, and she looks forward to working with people she admires. “I’d love to work with Eon or Tristan Taormino,” she said, “but Burning Angel is my heart and soul, so it’s not like I’m moving to L.A. any time soon.”
