Gay Chicago’s Grabby Awards Ceremony Announced

CHICAGO — Adult publication Gay Chicago Magazine and Behind Closed Doors are proud to announce that the 18th Annual Grabby Adult Erotic Video Awards will be held on May 24.

The Grabby Awards , which were originally awarded in Gay Chicago magazine’s adult section — Behind Closed Doors — back in 1990, but became a live awards ceremony in 1998 and was then held at one of Chicago’s renowned bathhouses Manscountry.

This year’s awards will be held at the Park West Theater.

The Grabby Awards will be co-hosted by award-winning director Chi Chi LaRue and Chicago’s Honey West, both of which have co-hosted the live show since its inception in 1998.

“I am so looking forward to the Grabby’s,” co-host West said. “It’s the tenth anniversary hosting with the fabulous Ms. LaRue and it’s truly the highlight of my year.”

Joining hosts LaRue and West this year are celebrity co-hosts Raging Stallion exclusive model Jake Deckard, TitanMen exclusive Dean Flynn and last year’s big winner Trevor Knight.

“I’m really excited to co-host. I’ve wanted to do it for a while now,” Knight said. “And I get to buy a really expensive wardrobe – two outfits a day, for each day… I hope people are asking ‘Who are you wearing?’ because I’ll tell them.”

Knight took home three awards at last year’s show, including the coveted Best Performer award.

Titan exclusive Dean Flynn weighed in, as well.

"I am really excited to be co-hosting the Grabby Award show this year,” he said. “Being from the Midwest, it is truly and honor for me just to be on stage in Chicago with all the amazing performers and producers I have idolized my whole life.”

Deckard put in his two cents as well: "I've been trying to get a date with Dean Flynn for over a year. Now he'll have to put out! I love porn!" he said.

In addition to the eye-candy hosting, there will also be numerous porn star presenters and a hot team of industry newcomer Trophy Studs.

After the show, fans are welcome to stay around and meet their favorite stars, many of which will be available for autographs and photos.

The nominations for this year’s Grabby Awards will be announced March 14.
