Digital Playground Receive 11 AdultDVDEmpire Noms

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Adult studio Digital Playground has received 11 nominations for the 8th Annual Empire Awards.

The studio's No. 1-selling release, "Babysitters," received the most company nominations, including Best Overall DVD, Best Feature DVD, Best HD DVD, Best DVD Menu Design, Best DVD Video Quality and Best DVD Audio Quality. It also received a prestigious Viewers Choice Award nomination.

Also recognized was "Virtual Sex w/ Shay Jordan" for Best Interactive DVD and "Jesse in Pink" for Best All-Sex DVD. Digital Playground's blockbuster release, "Pirates," was nominated for Best HD DVD, and the company itself was nominated for Best Overall DVD Studio.

"We are delighted that 'Babysitters' is recognized as a quality production and befitting of a 'Best Overall DVD' award," Digital Playground CEO Samantha Lewis said. "We take a great deal of pride in the quality of our films and are pleased to see our overall achievements celebrated across a multitude of categories and formats. A 'Viewers Choice Award' nomination is especially pleasing as this vote comes directly from the consumers.

"Thank you to the Empire Awards committee for this year's nominations, Adult DVD Empire.com for their continued support, and to the fans for recognizing excellence within the genre and casting a vote."

Viewers Choice Award votes for "Babysitters" can be cast by visiting the Empire Awards website. Voting ends at midnight Feb. 23, and winners will be announced March 2.
