Holliday, who died last year, was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame earlier this month. Holliday will be honored along with Goalie Entertainment’s Eddie Wedelstedt, who will be presented the Industry Founder award.
Wedelstedt is the latest adult industry member to be facing federal obscenity charges, filed in North Texas in an example of what Wedlestedt’s lawyer, Hank Asbill, called “forum shopping.”
Wedelstedt is also charged with racketeering and tax evasion.
Other Lifetime Achievement honorees include performers Johnnie Keyes and Alicia Rio, gay actor Jeff Stryker and gay director Wash West.
Industry attorney Paul Cambria will receive the Advocate of the Year award, Topco's Scott Tucker will receive the Joel Warner “Good Guy” award, Playboy will receive the Positive Image award and Mike Moran of LD Management will be presented the Hal Freeman “Freedom Isn’t Free” award.
Glasser, aka Seymore Butts, co-hosted the evening last year with Julie Ashton.
“I was a little hesitant last year, never having hosted before,” Glasser told XBiz, “but this year I’m very comfortable. I’m excited about the change of venue and the change of format.”
According to FSC staffer Neva Chevalier, past events at Universal City’s Sheraton were theme-based and attendees did not always dress to the motif. That is why this year’s version is being touted as “a return to casual Hollywood chic.” It is also being held at the Hollywood Highlands in the Kodak Theatre complex, home of the Academy Awards.
New FSC Communications Director Tom Hymes is pleased with the more laid-back setting as well as the catering, provided by Wolfgang Puck’s Vert. “In addition to helping to put together the program, I will be testing the Puckian foodstuffs,” he said.
Finally, Hymes said the Split Infinity’s Chris Jester will receive a $10,000 award for his efforts initiating an investigation leading to a successful child porn prosecution.
The ceremony will take place on July 17.
