The program was tested at the Video Dimensions store just north of Chicago. Kick Ass Pictures produced a custom-sized sign for a display rack that was filled with Kick Ass product. To raise awareness of the brand, store employees also got black T-shirts featuring the company’s distinctive yellow starburst logo.
“It worked like a charm,” Video Dimensions manager Donna Tietz said. “We saw an immediate boost in sales. Kick Ass makes a lot of great product, and placing it all together in one place made it easy for the customer.”
Kick Ass President Mark Kulkis is pleased with the results.
“I’m ecstatic that this worked so well for Donna,” Kulkis said. “I built this company catering to niches. At this point, we literally have something for everyone, so any customer who passes a Kick Ass section will find something to float his boat.”
