Director Will Ryder Gets XRCO Nomination

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Director Will Ryder was caught by surprise when he got nominated for an XRCO Award for Best Feature Director.

"This is quite an honor," Ryder said. "Especially when you consider a few of the big names that didn't make the list."

The other nominated directors are John Stagliano, Paul Thomas, Brad Armstrong and Stormy Daniels.

"The XRCO Awards party is always one of my favorite nights of the year because all the fun people are there," Ryder said, "all packed like sardines at the bar having a really good time."

"Not the Bradys XXX" received nominations for Best Comedy/Parody and Most Outrageous DVD Extras. Other "Bradys XXX" cast members getting XRCO nominations are Paulina James for New Starlet, Hillary Scott for Female Performer of the Year and Orgasmic Analist, Mikey Butders for New Stud and Alana Evans for MILF of the Year. Paulina James and Hillary Scott went on to become SexZ Pictures contract performers.

A 2007 XRCO Award winner for Best Comedy/Parody for Britney Rears 3: Britney Gets Shafted, Ryder said that the competition is steep and there are no guarantees.

"Hey, whatever happens will happen," Ryder said. "We're going to have a great time drinking and congratulating Stormy."

Ryder's 2008 schedule covers more than 30 productions, including a "Partridge Family" spoof for Hustler, a "Beverly Hillbillies" parody with Adam & Eve, "Not Bewitched XXX," the "Not the Bradys XXX" sequel, a porn musical and more than 15 series, including "Barely Legal School Girls," "Bubble Gum Cuties," "Barely Legal: 18 & Easy" and "Long Dong Black Kong."

"We would like to take all of the XRCO voters on an all-expense-paid trip to Bermuda for two weeks, but that just won't be possible because we could never coordinate all of their schedules," X-Play's Scott David said. "So instead, we are sending them Britney Rears mugs in an attempt to influence the voting."

With "Not the Bradys XXX" already a winner of 2008 XBIZ and AVN awards, Ryder said, "Hey we need all the help we can get."

The invitation-only XRCO Awards will be held Wednesday, April 30 in Hollywood. For more information, visit XRCO.com.
