Alternative Merchant Processing Launches AMP Adult

LOS ANGELES — Payment solutions provider Alternative Merchant Processing has announced its launch of AMP Adult, a specialized unit focused on serving the needs of the adult industry.

Alternative Merchant Processing boasts a background in credit card processing, check services and gift and loyalty programs, with a solid reputation serving nonconventional merchant processing for high-risk merchants, including adult websites, travel services and packages, telemarketing, inbound and outbound call centers, web hosting companies and health and herbal supplement companies.

“AMP Adult seemed like a logical step for Alternative Merchant Processing, because over the years, we have developed many relationships in the adult space and have created many processing programs for these merchants,” said Mary Catherine Pappas, director of client services at Alternative Merchant Processing. “We understand the particular needs of those merchants deemed ‘high-risk’ by Visa and Mastercard, and the limitations and outrageous costs they face with the typical large aggregation processors in the industry.”

Pappas credits AMP’s direct banking relationships with providing webmasters with the framework and efficiencies of having their own account.

“By not using aggregation, we save them significantly on their fees, give them complete control of their customer spending, and they receive their funds within 48 hours of the transaction taking place,” Pappas said. “More importantly, our chargeback [experience] has been invaluable in helping to monitor their business going forward.”

“No startup or registration fees make the transition to our services even more attractive,” Pappas added.
