An opening reception for the show is scheduled to be held at the gallery on May 17 at 7 p.m.
Schnibbe, who directed early Vivid-Alt title “East Side Story” under her nom de porn, is also a fine artist.
The Circus Gallery show, entitled “Honey Bunny” will feature paintings, drawings and fabric works that are displayed in multiple sets, and will serve as backdrops for a scene to be used in an adult movie that she will film during the exhibition.
In the mezzanine of the gallery will be displayed The Birthday Party, 112 drawings of the names of inductees into the Adult Video News Porn Star Hall of Fame. The drawings will be the background for a girl/girl S&M scene.
A graduate of California Institute of the Arts with a MFA in Film/Video, Schnibbe also earned a BFA from Kansas City Art Institute. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally including Greece, Germany, Australia, and Canada. She recently exhibited in “Figures” curated by William E. Jones at David Kordansky gallery in Los Angeles. Her videos have screened recently at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions and Cinema OT31 in Amsterdam.
Scnibbe also wrote and directed a documentary titled “Porn Star Pets,” in 2006.
