Rib Joint Buys Porn Site

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Barbecue chain Sticky Fingers, which manages 15 stores in the Carolinas, Tennessee and Florida, has forked over $6,000 to buy the porn site which shared its name.

"Now we don't have to talk to angry customers calling, thinking we're perverts," said Sticky Fingers’ [and StickyFingers.com] co-owner Jeff Goldstein.

The restaurant tried to purchase the domain name for ten years, during which time Goldstein said the restaurant would receive daily calls from upset customers surprised by what they found on the website.

Co-owner Chad Walldorf said that online sales have doubled since the company acquired the name, and site visits have quadrupled.

According to its website, Sticky Fingers took its name from the Rolling Stones album featuring Andy Warhol’s image of a jeans-clad man with a bulging crotch, a copy of which hangs in every location of the Memphis-style rib chain.
