Mobile-Translations.com hit the web this week, offering a variety of translation services for webmasters and producers who want to expand their mobile content delivery beyond American borders.
Despite the widespread popularity of the Internet across the world, company President Moreno Aguiari told XBIZ that translation remains underrated.
"Translation is still a misunderstood tool," he said. "It's a great way of pleasing clients. There are companies that make great revenue, but don't take translation seriously."
To Aguiari, not taking translation seriously means relying on Internet utilities like Babelfish — a move he said is becoming less practical in the mobile age.
“The increased demand for translations of mobile and wireless application-based content prompted us to develop a special process that allows us to deliver customized, accurate translations of content in over 20 languages, and to do so in a very short period of time,” he said. Translations cost approximately 15 to 22 cents per word. The per-word price drops as the word count grows.
Mobile-Translations.com offers translations to and from languages such as German, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, French, Korean, Greek, Polish, Dutch, Croatian, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Hindi, Italian, among others.
