VCX.com Adds More Than 60 Cal-Vista VOD Classics

LAS VEGAS — More than 60 titles produced by Cal-Vista in the '70s and '80s are now available for the first time on VCX's video on demand site, VCX.com.

David Sutton, president of VCX, said Cal-Vista titles such as "Nothing to Hide," an adaptation of John Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men," and "Eruption," an adult homage to "From Here to Eternity" that includes a re-creation of the mainstream movie's beach scene featuring Leslie Bovee and John Holmes, will be available through the site. The award-winning feature "Suzie Superstar" and the Aunt Peg series including "Aunt Peg's Fulfillment," as well as "Easy," "Sorority Pink,"and "Vista Valley PTA," among many others, also will be available.

"We've encoded the videos in three different bandwidth sizes," Sutton said. "There will be something for anyone with an Internet connection. The highest resolution videos look spectacular on a high-speed connection and all three sizes can be either streamed or downloaded.

"This is just the beginning in our rollout of the Cal-Vista classics. Just on the heels of this Internet delivery will be the release of the first five Cal-Vista blockbusters on DVD in early July: 'Nothing to Hide,' 'Easy,' 'Suzie Superstar,' 'Sorority Pink' and ' Eruption.'"

Future plans call for VCX.com to offer streaming technologies DivX Download to Burn and Evotum for the entire VCX library, including the new Cal-Vista titles.

"It's going to be a very busy time and we're very excited going forward," Sutton said.

The new Cal-Vista titles are available on VCX.com now.
