The deal with Playhouse, considered one of the premier adult distribution companies, is certain to expand the Cherry Boxxx brand and add variety to Playhouse’s catalog.
Playhouse already distributes titles for Metro Interactive, Zero Tolerance, Digital Sin, Jill Kelly Productions and New Sensations.
“We’ve been working with them trying to strike a deal within the last 1-1/2 years, and over the last two to three week, we finally came to terms,” Gold told XBiz. “We’ll be sending our titles to their Netherlands distribution hub, and they’ll be able to distribute our titles throughout Europe.”
Gold noted that Playhouse’s “enthusiasm and continued growth” were deciding factors for the signing.
Two-year-old Cherry Boxxx focuses on gonzo titles and primarily casts new talent between the ages of 18 and 25 for its videos.
The company was founded in 2003 by Kevin Beechum and Gold, a former VCA vice president of sales. Cherry Boxxx is a division of Beechum’s KBeech Video, which also includes titles from Baby Dolls, Erotic Angel, Dreamland Video and Midnight Mayhem.
"Strip and Tease" will be the first title released under the Playhouse agreement, Gold said.
The company has made the transition from digital stock to high definition with its latest feature, “Daisy’s a Dirty Little Girl.”
