The deal was consummated in part because of the operational logistics of basing distribution in the San Fernando Valley, a location that’s close to many big distributors.
The new deal not only includes VCX classics such as “Debbie Does Dallas,” “Devil in Miss Jones” and “Little Girls Blue,” but also 32 titles from Gourmet Video and the recently acquired library from Cal Vista.
"Industry veteran Jon Islas, the president of Dynasty Group Distribution, has always impressed me with his knowledge of the classic genre and his relationships with the real players in adult distribution," VCX President David Sutton said. "When he first told me of his intent to start a distribution company that specialized in the classics, I told him that I wanted to be his first company. I've known Jon for six years and count him as one of the best salesman in the business, as well as a trusted friend."
Alleviated of distributing its own product on DVD allows VCX to concentrate on Internet development, Sutton said, in addition to a renewed focus on producing new, high-quality features.
