Free Speech Coalition’s Election 2008 Bash to Draw Industry’s Finest

CANOGA PARK, Calif. —The Free Speech Coalition will hold its annual gala fundraising event, “Election 2008 Bash,” on Oct. 11. The fundraiser celebrates the adult entertainment industry's continued advocacy and defense of the First Amendment.

The fete replaces the Free Speech Coalition's long-running awards ceremony in name.

“Last year, FSC decided to step away from the Night of the Stars event, as a number of award events have been developed to honor our talented entertainment professionals for their incredible work,” said Diane Duke, FSC Executive Director. “Our annual Bash event is designed to honor the business side of the industry.”

Event sponsors include platinum sponsors HotMovies.com, Eddie’s Kids and Déjà Vu. Industry trade publication XBIZ and AVN are gold sponsors. Silver sponsors Sportsheets, Topco and Cal Exotics round out the industry's top-level participation.

"We are honored to support the FSC's important work," offered Alec Helmy, XBIZ's president. "The upcoming election is especially important to the adult industry. We are committed to supporting FSC's role in addressing critical issues that affect the adult industry."

"The Bash" this year will honor Rondee Kamins of Transworld News as Woman of the Year and Scott Coffman of AEBN as Man of the Year. Sureflix Digital Distribution has been selected as Business of the Year. The Legacy Award goes to Harry Mohney of Déjà Vu

The event takes place Saturday, October 11th at the Universal Studio Globe Theatre at Universal Studios in Universal City, Calif.
