Sunny Leone Endorsing Indian Mobile Phones

NEW DELHI — Adult star Sunny Leone has added another rung on her ladder to Indian fame, this time plugging products for Delhi-based Chaze Mobile phones.

Fresh off the announcement of her starring role in a sequel to director Pawan Kripalani's supernatural thriller "Ragini MMS," and her current Bollywood film debut in "Jism 2," the performer snagged the endorsement for a range of mobile handsets.

According to The Times of India, Chaze tapped Leone as its new brand ambassador to help cut through the clutter of a saturated market.

Targeted at the “common Indian youth" the smart phones will debut with two entry-level models — the C123 and Jewel. Later versions will included the C555 with "big screen and big sound," the C234 text-friendly phone, and the C99, a "full soft touch multimedia phone.”

The phones will cost between $30 and $66 and will be powered by "avant-garde features" such as dual SIM, auto call recording, answering machine, multimedia, big speakers, and a spy camera.

Chaze has reportedly sunk nearly $50 million in a new manufacturing plant in Himachal Pradesh to make the handsets.

"We are very pleased to have associated with Sunny Leone, another rising star of Indian Cinema, for endorsing our mobile handsets," Chaze Mobile CEO Keshav Arora said.

No details were disclosed as to Leone’s financial deal but the company’s press representatives revealed that she has shot a commercial in “exotic locales” in Thailand soon to air on Indian TV. The perfromer said this was her first television commercial for any Indian brand and the shooting took place in Bangkok.

"I am very excited to be associated with such a young and vibrant brand like Chaze. I chose to associate with 'Brand Chaze' because I am really impressed by Chaze's ideology of bringing out mobile technology for the masses and personally feel connected with their vision," Leone said in a Chaze press release.
