LOS ANGELES — Girlfriends Films is now leading an effort to gather financial support for ailing performer Elexis Monroe, who returned to the hospital today, just a few days after undergoing the first of three surgeries to treat a massive infection in her facial bones.
According to a post by Jon Tribb on LukeisBack.com, Girlfriends Films has proposed producing a video with part of the proceeds going to help Monroe with her medical treatment. The company has already pledged its $1,000 monthly charity donation to her expenses.
Monroe hosts Girlfriends Films' "The Vault" talk show on the GFF membership website, directs for GFF and is a regular performer for the lesbian porn studio.
"Elexis has had just one operation. There are two more to go. The estimated cost is between $10,000-$20,000. She’s a single mom with no insurance," Tribb writes. "People can already send donations via Paypal using the email address elexis08@gmail.com. They can now send checks to Kathleen Harper, Girlfriends Films, 6850 Canby Avenue #106, Reseda, CA 91335. Kathleen is her mother."
Three starlets have already agreed to take part in the GFF video — Lily Cade, Ashley Graham, and Elle Alexandra, according to Tribb.
"Lily Cade in her own salute to ‘The Queen of Lesbian Porn’ with whom she did her first scene has made her own special gesture," he continued. "This is what she posted on her site:
"'If you want to buy a signed copy of either 'Hard Working Girls' or 'Live Nerd Girls' for $25 I will donate the proceeds to Elexis’s surgery fund. Send me an email at lily@lilycade.com."
There is also preliminary talk of a fundraising benefit party at a club to promote the GFF video.
