International Media Films, the mainstream film studio that filed an infringement lawsuit and lost against gay adult company Lucas Entertainment Inc. over “Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita" several years ago, has lost again at federal court over the Federico Fellini classic.
Gay online distributor Maleflixxx and Lucas Entertainment announced today that “Michael Lucas’ La Dolce Vita” will premiere on the Maleflixxx video-on-demand global network.
U.S. District Judge John G. Koeltl has ruled that “Michael Lucas’ La Dolce Vita” can remain on store shelves after International Media Films Inc., copyright holders to the classic Federico Fellini film, filed a lawsuit seeking to halt sales of Lucas’ similarly-named gay porn movie.
Gay producer and performer Michael Lucas, who helms Lucas Entertainment, will host a premiere party for his latest feature film, “La Dolce Vita.” A softcore version of the film will be screened at the premiere party, with a hardcore version available in stores.
