The Washington Examiner published on Tuesday an op-ed by a Christian-right ideologue, supporting Project 2025’s proposal to criminalize the production and distribution of adult content and condemning pornography as “a social, mental, and spiritual epidemic of high proportions.”
Several publications within the right-wing media ecosystem amplified, during the last news cycle, the current Republican push for age verification on websites displaying adult content.
The two conservative Washington D.C. newspapers, the Washington Times and the Washington Examiner, have recently ramped up their “War on Porn” articles and editorials, following a yearlong escalation of pro-censorship content that coincided with religious group Exodus Cry’s “Traffickinghub” campaign.
