AdultCentro: On the Pulse of Porn

It’s no secret that the online adult entertainment industry is much more competitive than it was five or 10 years ago.

Adult webmasters and company owners realize that if they are going to successfully launch and build new adult websites or expand existing programs, they need to give careful consideration to how much their overhead will be versus how much profit their sites stand to make. But with AdultCentro, individual webmasters and companies alike have a cost-effective, user-friendly option when it comes to creating, building and maintaining adult sites. Launched by the website development firm Envisionext, Inc. (of AdultDesign.com and PaysiteCMS.com fame) in 2010, AdultCentro is an innovative content leasing platform that enables webmasters to create new adult sites without the huge startup costs they could incur by starting from scratch and offering original content exclusively.

[You] will see Adult-Centro expand exponentially as the go-to source for adult content of all kinds in the coming years. —AdultCentro CEO and founder Stan D’Amana

‘There once was, and still is, a significant cost of entry into this space,” explained AdultCentro CEO and founder Stan D’Aman. “AdultCentro’s full paysite solution takes the crazy costs of building a backend, buying content, hosting that content, etc., out of the equation. With even the slightest tech background and a domain, anyone can sign up for an AdultCentro Publisher account and, in a matter of ten minutes, build an entire, sophisticated paysite.”

Webmasters who sign up for AdultCentro’s program have ten different website design templates to choose from and gain access to an abundance of content they can lease for their sites; AdultCentro’s erotic library boasts at least 11,000 titles and 60,000 scenes. And the strength of that library lies not only in its size, but also, its diversity. AdultCentro (which also offers full mobile solutions) gives customers access to a wide variety of content, which is a definite plus if a site is focusing on a specific niche or micro-niche.

“AC affords webmasters large and small to compete with the largest companies with the deepest pockets by offering them an extraordinary amount of quality content to work with as well as the platform to build sophisticated and aesthetically pleasing sites and legal tubes,” D’Aman stressed. “Whether building nichespecific online destinations or mobile apps and sites, AdultCentro’s platform does it all and offers diversification within a continually evolving business.”

Let’s say that a webmaster is focusing on the gay market exclusively and has a specific type of gay erotica in mind for a site; AdultCentro’s library includes many different types of gay content, and the webmaster can easily find content that works best for him/her. Or, let’s say that a webmaster is focusing exclusively on Latina models; AdultCentro has a wealth of Hispanic content in its library. Niche marketing is not a problem for AdultCentro’s clients, in fact, AdultCentro’s Publisher solution empowers site operators to expand their business horizons.

“We have everything from gonzo to tranny, from gay to interracial and were even able to secure a deal for hentai content, which we were quite proud of,” D’Aman noted. “Having so much content available to our customers has made it easy for them to build niche sites, niche programs and anything else they could possibly desire. There are so many different ‘types’ of traffic out there, and one webmaster may do best with tranny whereas one may do best with Latin. Because we offer so much, people and companies can build nichespecific sites as well as complementary sites to those niches to really maximize the monetization of their traffic.”

D’Aman pointed out that people who have signed up for AdultCentro’s program have ranged from experienced, seasoned adult industry veterans to people who are starting their first membership sites. Some webmasters might opt to use leased content exclusively; other webmasters might have a combination of original content and leased content on their sites. And AdultCentro is also beneficial for content producers, who have sought to monetize their content by taking it to AdultCentro to be leased to other websites.

‘We work with everyone from the largest and most influential adult affiliate networks to new webmasters just entering the business,” D’Aman explained. “Some clients simply need content or feeds. Others need the entire infrastructure to build and maintain paysites. Some even just want mobile solutions. AdultCentro was built with the idea that we would serve everyone.”

In addition to D’Aman, key figures at AdultCentro include their well-regarded sales professionals Alex and Alan as well as public relations manager Kristen Kaye. “Alex and Alan are proactive in securing new clients for AdultCentro as well as managing our extensive client base,” D’Aman said. “You will see them at shows and events as well as present and active in industry forums and communities. Kristen Kaye also plays an integral role within our company, providing strategic marketing and public relations planning and execution and having a hand in sales. Altogether, we boast one stellar team positioned to take on the growth and evolution of our business for many years to come.”

Although AdultCentro is only about two years old, D’Aman’s company has already won some major adult industry awards. In 2011, AdultCentro has received awards for Innovative Web Product of the Year from XBIZ, Best Adult Services Company of the Year from YNOT and Innovative Company of the Year from GFY. Clearly, D’Aman developed a smart business model when he launched AdultCentro, which isn’t surprising given the success his group has enjoyed with AdultDesign.com and PaysiteCMS.com.

In addition to its existing products such as AdultCentro Publisher and AdultCentro Cloud, AdultCentro is unveiling its new product AdultCentro Market (which it describes as an “online content rights marketplace in the adult audiovisual content licensing market”). AdultCentro Market has been in beta, with the full release slated for October. AdultCentro has come a long way since its inception in 2009 and birth in 2010, and D’Aman is quite optimistic about the company’s future.

“We keep our finger on the pulse of tomorrow while focusing on today,” D’Aman asserted. “So you will see AdultCentro expand exponentially as the go-to source for adult content of all kinds in the coming years. Some of our plans are ‘classified’ and highly confidential, but there is one thing that our clients and future clients can be certain of: We will never stray from keeping our clients and their needs at the forefront of our agenda.”
