Maia Toys Expands Product Range, Customer Reach

Billed as “The Colors of Erotica,” Maia Toys’ collection of brightly colored silicone pleasure products has endeared itself to top retailers and distributors, who have praised the range’s quality, price and aesthetic.

“Maia Toys were an instant hit at Hustler Stores nationwide,” said David Ballow-Permuy, corporate buyer for Hustler Retail. “The bright packaging and reasonable prices seem to be grabbing everyone’s attention.”

Maia Toys prides itself on being approachable, fun and savvy, we know what customers want and we know what retailers need to get the message across. -Mara Epstein, Maia Toys

In April, Maia Director of Sales Mara Epstein traveled to Houston for the C.L. International All Store Training Event, and more recently, Epstein attended the International Lingerie Show in Las Vegas to support Maia Toys’ distributor, Williams Trading Co. From within the company’s booth, Epstein provided product demos and provided marketing and branding knowledge to curious buyers.

“Maia Toys prides itself on being approachable, fun and savvy,” Epstein said. “We know what customers want and we know what retailers need to get the message across. I thank all of our valued distributors and retailers for helping Maia Toys grow.”

SLS Specialty was among the first distributors to pick up the Maia Toys range. SLS credits the company for establishing “a reputation for a sophisticated aesthetic by creating eight unique styles.” Earlier this year, SLS Specialty CEO Shane Nelson said, “We brought Maia Toys into our lineup after seeing the company’s commitment to providing modern styling and quality construction with a simplistic approach to sex toy design.”

Inviting consumers to visualize intimacy, Maia Toys asks “What’s Your Color Today?” through a number of available marketing materials to display throughout a store. Maia Toys says it uses pamphlets, posters and branded floor mats for retailers to strengthen its message.

With a foundation of four colors — Marcia fuchsia, Porpora violet, Confetti yellow, and Astral blue — Maia Toys come in packaging that allows retailers to create visually appealing, uniformed displays.

Maia Toys recently introduced six new toys that are now shipping.

Maia Toys has added a Wireless Butterfly Strap-On wearable massager, a remotecontrolled vibrating Contour Egg, and the Clip.

The Wireless Butterfly Strapon includes a dong that is made of medical grade silicone and features 16 powerful modes and speeds of vibrations that can be controlled from a distance with its accompanying remote control.

The Contour Egg is available in purple and yellow shades and is constructed from silky-soft medical grade silicone. Featuring 10 modes and speeds of vibration, this remote controlled massager is enhanced with a unique design and petite size.

The Clip features a two-prong tip that could be used to nuzzle a clit or nipple or as a pressure point massager. Made from medical grade silicone, this multi-functional massager delivers pleasure and relaxation anywhere on the body.

Maia Toys’ new Silicone Dotted Kegel Balls are available in purple, blue and pink.

“Maia Toy’s newest additions are sure to please every kind of shopper with their functional designs and playful colors,” Epstein said. “The remote-controlled Wicked vibes and wired dongs are perfect for putting one’s partner in control, the Wicked Clip is a great unisex massager and every woman can benefit from Wicked and Twistty Silicone Balls.”

The Wired Control Mini Twistty Dong is a silicone dong with three rotation modes and 10 vibrating speeds, operable by a wired control. It is waterproof and features a swirled texture.

The Silicone Twistty Balls feature a twisted texture and are available in yellow, pink and purple colors.

All Maia Toys come with a 90-day warranty. Maia products are available at fine retailers. The company says it welcomes comments, questions and suggestions about its products.

Scroll-Stopping Social Media Strategies to Capture Short Attention Spans

Attention spans are shrinking across all types of media. No matter how innovative a concept may be, if it doesn’t stop the scroll, it’s quickly forgotten. That’s why Netflix has intentionally been simplifying its content, with executives directing writers to create scripts that are less complex and nuanced, and more second-screen-friendly.

During my first year in the industry, the luxury vibrator on shelves was LELO’s Gigi, priced at $109. It was made with high-quality silicone, boasted an ergonomic design, a travel lock and a warranty. Soon after, Je Joue released its first product, SaSi, which employed “rolling ball” movements to simulate oral sex.
