Q&A With Raja Roy-Choudhury of ChargebackHelp.com

Meet Raja Roy-Choudhury, co-founder of ChargebackHelp.com, a company that prides itself with providing integrated chargeback management to scores of companies.

ChargebackHelp backed by a team that has a combined 30 years of payment processing, ecommerce, affiliate website management and merchant account experience.

As former merchants, my partners and I understood the challenges and obstacles merchants face on a daily basis and how cumbersome managing your chargebacks can be. We took our extensive experience and developed the best strategy to help merchants prevent and reduce their chargebacks.

Last month, XBIZ?World spoke with Roy-Choudhury about the company’s beginnings, how its services work, bonding at trade shows and what’s in store for 2015.

XBIZ: How was ChargebackHelp formed?

Roy-Choudhury: As former merchants, my partners and I understood the challenges and obstacles merchants face on a daily basis and how cumbersome managing your chargebacks can be. We took our extensive experience and developed the best strategy to help merchants prevent and reduce their chargebacks. Our goal was to take this burden off of the merchant and serve as their dedicated partners who monitor and manage this on a daily basis.

Over the years, we have worked with Fortune 500 companies, well-known and small businesses in a wide range of industries — including travel, gift cards, online retailers, subscription services, telecommunications and multi-channel retailers. Whatever the industry we are serving, we work hard to tailor the right solution to serve their unique needs and support their long term growth.

XBIZ: What are the benefits of using ChargebackHelp and how much customization does the company offer for certain business models?

Roy-Choudhury: ChargebackHelp clients can reduce their chargeback ratio up to 30 percent using our advanced solutions. We also recently added two new services: digital device fingerprinting and decline salvage. Our fingerprinting technology proactively identifies and stops fraudulent activity, authenticating individuals online worldwide which enables merchants to complete more legitimate transactions in less time.

Decline salvage helps merchants who have reoccurring billing monetize their declines. It enables merchants to retain customers and recover between 5 percent and 10 percent of declined revenue. Actually, so much of what we do is customized, not only for certain business models but also for the needs of individual companies as well. We find every business has their own unique needs and concerns, that is why we dedicate a team to spend time analyzing and understanding all facets of their business and then we build a solution to serve and protect their bottom line.

In addition to the adult space, we work with a variety of business models such as nutraceutical, online gaming and retailers. Each of those business models have their own unique sets of concerns and areas that need to be monitored. We map out their strategies and continually optimize to bring the best possible results.

XBIZ: Tell us about some of your trade show adventures from the past year and how bonding with people at trade shows increased your business?

Roy-Choudhury: 2014 was a big year for us as we ramped up our efforts with ChargebackHelp. Since the launch of ChargebackHelp, we have amped up our attendance.

We have built our business on a basis of trustworthiness, and we intend to continue that reputation.

Going to shows and bonding with attendees is part of our process to establish and build relationships with clients new and old. It is vital that we stay connected to their growing needs and our commitment to them is something we take very seriously.

XBIZ: What does the year ahead look like for ChargebackHelp?

Roy-Choudhury: In the year ahead, we will be increasing our team to provide the best support to all the different verticals we reach.

We are looking to provide education, exposure and communication to merchants, ISOs and resellers alike about chargebacks and what products are available to help them reduce this number. You will be seeing the ChargebackHelp team at many industry trade shows and events, so come up and say hello.
