Cracking the Whip on Fetish Clips

Cracking the Whip on Fetish Clips

My name is Theodora. If my name sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because you have read articles in the press about my career as a financial dominatrix. There is a lot more to what I do, though: I have been producing and starring in my own fetish videos for over a year now, and this has earned me the 2018 XBIZ Europas Clip Performer of the Year award.

How did I come to the world of making clips, you ask...? As a former professional ballerina and leg model, image has always been a passion of mine. So naturally, at some point, I decided to put my fetishes on display and use them on camera. I took the gamble to invest a lot of money into the production of my clips, so that they would be an accurate reflection of my vision — I wanted to produce luxury, “couture” fetish clips. At first, I thought they would serve me as a form of advertisement. I had to price them above the standard price of $1 a minute, because they cost me a lot: I rent professional filming and lighting equipment, a filming studio, I have a studio assistant and I even hire a hairdresser and a makeup artist. Not to mention the outfits, some of which I only wear for filming! But apart from the odd “rip off fantasy” clip or niche fetish video here and there, most of my clips are fairly priced considering how much money they cost me to produce. It seems that my customers noticed the quality, because they were buying my clips, despite the high prices. And they all said the same thing: “Worth every penny!”

The thing is, nobody wants to buy a clip of someone parroting other fetish clips without understanding the essence of the fetish they’re trying to emulate. Instead, they are looking for someone who displays a genuine interest in said fetish. The camera never lies!

That’s when I realized that there was money to be made: I was filling a void in the clip market. No one was offering this combination of fashion and fetish like I did. I think that is the main reason for my success as a clip artist: I was offering something very different. I believe that if you put work into the quality of your productions, and price them as fairly as you can, you will get noticed, and you can still be competitive. Yes, it is a big investment, both in money, in time and in workload. But in the long run, it has proven worth it!

“But wait,” you say, “it’s easier for you, you’re a financial dominatrix, of course financial submissives are going to buy your clips and spend more on you.” Well, you’d be surprised: I might use my clips to advertise my business as a financial dominatrix, but most of my clients for financial domination don’t buy clips at all. And conversely, my best-selling clips aren’t findom-related. Financial domination and clips are actually two separate businesses. My best-selling clips? The leg fetish ones. Why? Because it’s a niche fetish that very few people have filmed about, and most importantly because I was a professional leg model for years. It’s not just that I know how to flex and bend them at a perfect angle for the camera, or that my leg-to-body ratio is the golden number (fun fact: it is!), but that it is a fetish that is very personal to me.

My point is, what the customers are going to like about you ... is you! If you have something that stands out, like great nails, or extremely long hair, or braces, even (yes, there’s a huge fetish for that, too), or if you happen to have a fetish for one of your own body parts, that’s what you need to sell. For instance, I also have a fetish for my own feet, and my foot fetish clips sell amazingly well.

The thing is, nobody wants to buy a clip of someone parroting other fetish clips without understanding the essence of the fetish they’re trying to emulate. Instead, they are looking for someone who displays a genuine interest in said fetish. The camera never lies! If you’re not into what you’re doing, it will show. So, instead, do use your own sexuality (because that’s what this is all about, in the end!), your own fetishes if you have any and your own personality to seduce the camera, and, eventually, the people on the other side of the screen. There is always someone that will respond to your charms and like you, for you.

If I managed to turn one of my passions into a lucrative business, by sharing my kinks, staying true to myself and only doing what I enjoy, then, surely, you can do it too...
