From Circus Ring to Ring Light: A Colorful Journey Into Adult

From Circus Ring to Ring Light: A Colorful Journey Into Adult

As I stand on a platform, 35 feet up in the air, I brace myself with one hand on the trapeze bar and the other on the platform pole beside me. A hush has fallen across the crowd, hundreds of silhouettes leaning forward with anticipation. Jumping into action, I place my other hand on the trapeze bar and grip tightly, swinging my body fiercely before letting go completely. Airborne, I swiftly lock hands with the catcher, and he confidently locks eyes with my own. Ready for him to send me back, I brace myself, hoping that when I turn around midair, the trapeze bar will have swung back in time for me to catch it.

I turn…

In my cam room, I try to incorporate my circus background, offering a variety of performances.

...and the trapeze is there! I catch it with practiced calm, flying back onto the platform, amidst a crackling boom of applause and cheering. Descending to the floor with acrobatic flair, I stand up and bask in the standing ovation, smiling and squinting against the bright spotlight.

Rushing back home, I shift gears and prepare for a very different kind of performance. I turn on my webcam, ease into my favorite swiveling chair, excited to once again dazzle an audience. But this time, instead of the rush of thunderous cheering and wild applause, it’s the chiming rush of tokens landing at my feet like virtual roses.

How did I end up straddling two very different worlds, before becoming a full-time cam model? Well, I was born in London to an Irish mother and Colombian father, and pretty much came flying from my mother’s womb straight into the circus ring. As the 8th generation in a long line of circus performers, there was no question I would one day follow in their footsteps. My first-ever appearance in a circus ring was as a cowgirl alongside my aunts and uncles, where at only eight years old, I already knew how to crack a whip and spin a lasso, before learning how to stand against a wood board having knives thrown at me.

I then began joining my father and brother 25 feet up in the air on the high wire, where my brother crossed back and forth with me standing on his shoulders. I soon became the second youngest kid in Europe to do what is called a two-man high on the wire, with the first being my brother.

In the years that followed, I traveled a lot all over the world, performing for audiences ranging from China to South America. I even created my own magic act, which was an all-girls’ illusion routine, entering into tiny boxes and disappearing. I also performed in a comedy skit with my brother, where we starred in some of the biggest circus shows in the world. Mind you, the audience would sometimes be as small as two people, but could grow as large as 9,000 in the real-life crowd with several million at home watching — as once happened during a show that appeared on China’s live broadcast.

Likewise, with camming, some nights there are only a few regulars online, whereas other evenings attract more than a hundred virtual eyeballs enjoying the show. Because of my past experiences, no matter how many people are watching, I try my best to entertain the crowd (or lack thereof). And I also make sure not to be put off when there’s not so many people in my room, because some of my best nights on MyFreeCams have been when I’ve only had 10 or so solid-tipping members in my room.

So, when exactly did I make the jump into camming, after so many years of circus acts? Well, I first started camming on and off in August 2015, where I would go online maybe three to four times a month at most. As I was always on the go with traveling, I cammed when I was in Russia and China, showing my members the exotic backgrounds. It was always surprising that, even when I was away from camming for a month, my regulars were always there when I came back from wherever I was in the world. After working three years non-stop at the circus, I decided to take a break after hurting myself during a trapeze performance, as well as being injured from a minor car accident. By the end of September 2018, after one year of hunting for an apartment, I finally found a place to call my own and start camming full-time after moving in.

In my cam room, I try to incorporate my circus background, offering a variety of performances spanning special LED light shows, acrobatic feats and magic tricks (where I make a hanky disappear from the palm of my hand and reappear in my vagina, haha). And sometimes, we just chill and talk. My dream one day is to own a bigger place, so I can do my aerial acts and illusions on cam.

I only started making clips at the start of this year, as I now have the time for it. As a cam girl, I not only star in the clips, but also film them, do the lighting and complete the editing, so it takes a while to make good quality ones. At the moment, I mostly do solo clips, jerk off instruction (JOI) videos and various scenes with unique angles and themes. The most requested and popular videos I sell are the ones with JOI and teases. I plan to make a lot more content this year, and also signed up on OnlyFans, which I love! In fact, some of my content is exclusive to OnlyFans.

Other than clips and live streaming via MFC, I also offer a premium Snapchat subscription, which pretty much every cam girl does these days. I have a public Snap and a XXX one, so my fans can see my day-to-day life, as well as find out when I am online, not to mention being the first to hear about my new upcoming content or promotions I’m running. And I’ll usually go on daily rants, which they seem to find entertaining! I also make a lot of sales for my other platforms and products via Snapchat, with everything from customs, to sexting and selling panties.

Recently, I dived into Twitch gaming, after being an avid viewer of mainstream streaming personalities. In just seven days, I qualified to become an affiliate, which can sometimes take months, and I now look forward to expanding my revenue streams and fan base on there as well. It helped to have a lot of my fans from Snapchat and MyFreeCams follow me to Twitch, where they enjoy watching me do SFW chatting streams and occasionally game on my PS4. I also get really animated when playing games like The Division 2, Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, to name a few.

Now, with fans crossing over from one platform into another, whether they’re first meeting me on Twitch before subscribing to my Snapchat, or coming to MyFreeCams after encountering me during a Snapchat takeover for an adult industry company, I love having the option to take a break from camming to film clips or game with fans. Seeing how many remain loyal throughout, is awesome.

Overall, I try to keep my streams as entertaining and different as possible to attract new members and to also keep my regulars entertained. Remember, your loyal viewers are in your chat room almost every day. And like everything else, they will most likely get bored if you just do the same thing every day. So, I do shows like strip teases on my spinning chair with signature songs that play depending on a member’s preferences, light shows with LED hoops, LED wings and LED poi balls. Once in a while, I do big shows that take a lot of preparation, sometimes upwards of two to three hours to get all my props, costumes and choreography arranged. Bath shows are also quite popular, where I’ll lay in the bath and maybe do a countdown for “bath cum show” while my regulars tip for “gin and tonic” so I can lay in the bath and enjoy my favorite drink (but not drink so much that I end up drowning)!

As for finding motivation on slower days, it’s really hard. I struggle with it every day, even though I absolutely love my job. The main reason why I personally find it hard to motivate myself to go on cam or do big shows or make clips is, well, the fear of failing big time! But, then again, we cannot let this fear take over our lives, because even though we might have a bad time on cam, it could end up being the best night of your life. I remember this one night, where I was so close to giving up and just logging off, but something inside me said, “Stay an extra 10 minutes,” and then I ended up having one of my best nights ever on cam as far as tokens and members showing up soon thereafter! No matter what, even if it doesn’t go well today, there is always tomorrow.

I know how it can feel, getting sad or discouraged. It’s hard, since camming is like an emotional roller coaster sometimes. There’s no in-between for me, just super highs and lows. At least, that’s how it seems anyways. So when a night goes bad on cam, as it inevitably will now and then, what I do is I log off and use that time to create videos for my MFC Share, OnlyFans and Snapchat.

Working at home all the time, it’s easy to not leave the house for ages or become lazy. I try hard to go out a lot when I’m not camming, to not get cabin fever or go crazy. It also helps with days I’m feeling vulnerable or emotional. So, sometimes I’ll focus on running other errands during those bad times, even though I could get a few of those errands done online. Rather than ordering groceries online, for instance, I’ll use an empty fridge as an excuse to go out and visit the local store. I also need to do this for my mental health after weeks and weeks, or even months of non-stop working. When I need a break, if I’m not doing a shopping trip, I plan a several-day visit out of town to see friends or spend time with family.

Also, remember not to put all your eggs in one basket. While I do cam exclusively on MFC and stream on Twitch, I spend equal amounts of time on OnlyFans and Snapchat. Not to beat the same drum, but it really is important to diversify your income! Other than that, I also do some mainstream work, like teaching languages online to people or even tutoring them in-person, to take advantage of the fact I speak four languages fluently. I am also an artistic director with my circus background, so local shows will sometimes book me to create acts and choreograph for them. I soon hope to go back to trapeze work, as I miss it so much.

And, if after all your different show ideas run out, or you lose motivation for creating content in your various revenue streams, or mainstream gigs are running dry, remember … it’s okay to watch other cam models and get inspiration. Ultimately, you do need to find your own style, even if it takes time to develop your brand. As for me, I am pretty much myself on camera and a lot of my regulars love that, because they always comment on how genuine I am. Still, I will go hunt for cam show inspiration, even from mainstream sources or past performances I’ve done in real life. I always think to myself, “How could I do that better, while naked and masturbating?” Haha.

From years of being in the spotlight of the circus ring, to now performing in front of a ring light and a laptop, one thing remains true ... if you burn with passion, work hard and share your unique talents with viewers, while making an effort to build an intimate connection (and power through those slow periods), the grind will absolutely pay off. With a flourish of my vanishing handkerchief, a neon swirl of dancing silk and a wild duel of gunfire on my PlayStation 4, I will do everything in my power to give them The Greatest Show on Earth!
