Boost Clips Sales With Titles, Thumbnails & Tags

Boost Clips Sales With Titles, Thumbnails & Tags

Hello all, my name is Jade Jordan. I’m an award-winning Pornhub model, and I have an important message on how you — yeah, you — can start making more money as either an experienced or new clipmaker. Whatever the reason, you’ve come to the right place. I’m pretty well-informed about clip stores, considering I have accounts on (and actively post to) the most relevant clip sites. Today, though, I want to focus on the most important part of being on a clip site: making copious amounts of money.

How can you stand out and start making some real cash? Although I might be stating the obvious here, I’m going to say it anyway: You won’t make money on a clip store unless you’re actually producing content! I know, shocking, right?

No matter how good the video is, if the thumbnail doesn’t grab the customer’s attention — just like a bad shaving cream commercial — it will, figuratively, sit on a shelf collecting dust.

More important than producing content is creating high-quality content, content that people will actually enjoy, visually and conceptually. In essence, you want to make artwork that people can get off to. This will keep customers coming back, hungry for more. Plus, in this oversaturated market where anyone with a phone thinks they’re a porn star, it’s up to you to increase notoriety and make lasting impressions.

What’s the first thing that grabs your attention when looking for a clip to watch? That’s right, guys and gals: it’s the thumbnail! It can make the difference between $1,000 in sales in one day and $100 in sales over 10 days. No matter how good the video is, if the thumbnail doesn’t grab the customer’s attention — just like a bad shaving cream commercial — it will, figuratively, sit on a shelf collecting dust. Think of your thumbnail as the only interaction you will ever have with a customer; make it a good one.

Here are some tips for creating good thumbnails:

  • Decide if you will be using a default thumbnail or creating your own (I suggest the latter.)
  • If you are creating your own thumbnail, use specific programs to get the look you want I suggest Photoshop, even for beginners. It’s easier to use than you think, and there are tons of helpful YouTube tutorials for it.
  • Take your time ironing out small details in the composition of a thumbnail, and resist the urge to rush. Remember, thumbnails are like ads; they need to make sense.

Next, producing a catchy and intuitive title is just as important when it comes to a clip’s success. I usually pick something that would grab my attention if I were actually horny. Believe it or not, people love the excitement and suspense induced from reading a new title — one that makes them rush to click, view and potentially buy.

Make sure to use attention-grabbing words without making it a classic clickbait title. Pick the juiciest parts and highlight them. There’s so much you can do as an independent clipmaker, so get creative and show how this new creampie video is different from the one you did last week. Think about what makes the clip unique and emphasize that in your title.

Lastly, you’ve got to put in some love on the backend (pun intended). Basically, content perfectly optimized for search engines is key. You don’t need to be tech-savvy to take full advantage of SEO (search engine optimization), which is what gives your video the legs it needs to reach far beyond the initial push sites give. It’s what helps people find you, even when they don’t know who you are. Without proper metadata (more data leads to greater SEO) you’re harder to find. The lack of proper descriptive data drastically decreases your ability to be discovered as a model — newbie or veteran. Tagging accurate information to your videos allows them to have further cycles on a clip site.

I’m no expert at this stuff (definitely not), but I will say this: month after month, I have climbed the ranks on Modelhub. In other words, by doing some of the very things I just explained, I went from being a model with minimal traffic to one of the top ten earners on the site—for three months in a row! This can be you. Remember to believe in your product, and market it well. Relax, but stay diligent. Everyone is hungry, so make sure you do everything in your power to get a good piece of the bread — and maybe even share some along the way.

How to Halt Hackers as Fraud Attacks Rise

For hackers, it’s often a game of trial and error. Bad actors will perform enumeration and account testing, repeating the same test on a system to look for vulnerabilities — and if you are not equipped with the proper tools, your merchant account could be the next target.

Account-to-Account Payments: The New Banking Disruptor?

So much of our industry relies upon Visa and Mastercard to support consumer payments — and with that reliance comes increased scrutiny by both brands.
