Variety Is the Spice of Adult Games’ Success

Variety Is the Spice of Adult Games’ Success

Well-written games can be an incredibly useful tool in any relationship. If you are looking to bring variety into your relationship, improve and control how your lover is touching you, or if you are simply looking to be the life of the party, a good game will get you there.

Games don’t have to be repetitive dares or basic foreplay actions and should not be thought of as that simple. Many games serve as therapy tools to improve relationships. For example, if someone is losing patience trying to spice up their relationship, a good romance game will allow them to comfortably decide what new sexual adventures they can try together.

Games are a fun and an easy way to communicate to your lover that you want to spice things up.

Rules need to be simple. Nothing is more frustrating, whether in bed with a lover or at a party, than complicated game rules. Questions, dares, humorous scenarios, outrageous and personal questions all make for great conversations within party games and also with your lover. For bedroom games, some people want to get to know their lover better, and it is much easier to do so when a game is guiding you.

Often, individuals in a relationship have had negative touch experiences in their pasts. The bedroom is a very difficult place to open up and share that your lover may be giving you reminders of negative past experiences. Instead of coyly avoiding certain sexual situations, a player can take control of their love life by presenting a card from a game around topics of massage, sexual positions they want to try, or power and bondage techniques.

Or, do you want to be the life of the party by asking the most outrageous questions? There are many games out there for that. You find them by simply finding the most hilarious sample cards on the box sides or backs. Or perhaps you are hoping to hook up single friends or flirt with other couples; then an adult party game with kissing or other adult contact will accomplish your goal.

When you have a specific group of people coming together, there are a ton of options for bride- or groom-to-be parties, Pride parties, ladies' night events, drinking- or weed-themed events, and of course, game nights!

Retailers putting a game section together should try to have something for everybody. This can be accomplished with a small end-cap section or a full-size display rack or two. Adults tend to favor games they played most as kids, so an adult who grew up playing a lot of card games as a kid will most likely buy a card game as an adult. A well-rounded mix of board, dice and card games will ensure that each customer is able to find the type of game they can relate to. Because, again, people want games that are easy to understand. And they will understand the game types they grew up with more easily.

A proper mix of games also includes games for the occasions adults shop for. The most generic of events is simply a games night. That is when party games are the most important part of your mix. To capture what types of games are most appropriate, consider what the adult might be doing at the game night. Consuming alcohol, for example, pairs well with drinking games. Now that pot use is becoming a lot more acceptable, pot games as well are becoming a lot more popular. And then there is a mixed group that may consume both or nothing at all. In those situations, an adult party game would be best. This includes games with humorous adult content that don’t require consumption of beverages or smoking/edibles while playing the games.

Bachelors will often play drinking games or other adult party games, but bachelorettes tend to prefer games designed specifically for their parties. Ladies' nights are also a very important category. It could just be a night out or in with the girls. Or a good ladies' night game will also appeal to other types of parties women might have together, such as divorce parties, baby showers, or engagement parties.

Couples also turn to games to spice up their romance and relationships. Games are a fun and easy way to communicate to your lover that you want to spice things up. It’s important to offer games with new sex positions that a couple can try. Equally important are games that improve communication, allow experimentation with erotic massage, bondage or fetish play. Card and dice games make for great impulse purchases, but more solid boxed games are better for vacations or Christmas, birthday, wedding or anniversary gifts.

A retailer should also consider in these categories that some people like raunchy while other customers will want something tamer. It’s just a simple way to have more interesting date nights, for example. Or keep in mind that at a bachelorette party, if the mother-in-law is there, you might want to keep it cleaner.

Get what you want out of your relationships with the right games without putting off your lover, and learn to be the life of the party. Everyone knows… games are fun!
