Q&A: Noah Bensi Makes Dreams Come True on Cam

Q&A: Noah Bensi Makes Dreams Come True on Cam

Noah Bensi is all about business, all about pleasure and all about elevating her game.

When those three passions come together in a triumphant tryst of camming, clips and Patreon content, Bensi manifests a triple-threat trinity of entrepreneurial wonders.

I have a lot planned for my future, personally and within the industry, and I feel like I know the steps to get me there, so I’m doing what I believe is needed to make my dreams a reality.

From her most loyal fans — who have stuck by her side since her earliest days on MyFreeCams — to her growing audience on ManyVids, she knows how to seduce viewers with her mind, body and heart.

Plus, this crafty and creative vixen is an ever-evolving force of nature, having rolled out a full-fledged merch store, Pornhub videos and YouTube vlogs, though she is definitely pivoting to narrowing her focus.

And now, she is making dreams come true … in her own life and the lives of others … with her light-up-the-room smile.

To celebrate such a hard worker and such a bundle of bright joy, XBIZ is spotlighting Bensi as the Cam Star of the Month for December, in this exclusive interview.

XBIZ: What inspired you to become a cam model and clip artist?

Bensi: My lust for freedom. Having a way to unapologetically be myself and express my art and passions. Growing up there was a lot of pressure to be what others wanted me to be. Putting the happiness of others before my own made me quickly realize that I was suffering because of it.

My dreams and wants were either laughed at or rejected and this was affecting my mental health. I was at a place in my life where I knew that change was needed and fast.

When I discovered cam modeling for what it really was, I knew that it was my calling. The road was and still is sometimes a bit bumpy, but cam modeling and clip-making gives me the flexibility to face those roadblocks head-on and with confidence. I can’t imagine feeling as fulfilled as I do being a part of this industry.

XBIZ: Tell us how you’ve grown over the years, personally and professionally, ever since joining the adult industry.

Bensi: Owning and running my brand and business has taught me so many skills in such a short time that I’m not sure I would have learned as quickly or if at all otherwise. You have to learn to plan, prepare and save. You’re forced to adapt and build strong coping skills.

At the same time, socially, being able to be your own customer service and work with others in your field is key. All that and more have molded me into the adult and the adult entertainer I have become today. I use these skills in all facets of my life and have benefited from them.

On a more sentimental note, I’ve learned to truly love myself. Knowing that I am enough and having people challenge that love has been such an amazing lesson that I’ve learned. In my opinion, this industry has a place for everyone. I mean, sure there is favoritism and those politics will exist in all workplaces and in real life too, but being a cam model teaches you by example that your only flaw is not fully believing you’re a badass.

The sooner you embrace that fact, the more money, fans and opportunities come your way. Learning these lessons and gaining these life skills are things that will not only carry me through my whole life, but things I can pass down to my children and anyone else who feels like they are lost or not worthy.

XBIZ: Discuss your preferred platform(s) for camming.

Bensi: So, I’ve tried almost every cam site during my first three years and then even recently took a few exclusive streaming contracts. I do not recommend doing all of the site hopping I did, but I’m glad I did the research and experiences. I’m a true believer in choosing one or two cam sites and sticking to them, working both or one consistently to build your cam fam. With that said, ManyVids and MyFreeCams are my two main sites and I’m no longer moving around.

MyFreeCams has been a site I’ve been on since the beginning. When I joined they were the “go-to” cam site, therefore, most of my customers are on there and as far as fandom goes, those customers are loyal and consistent, two things that every model strives to find in this industry, which is why I stay.

As for ManyVids, they are also at the top of their game. They constantly find new ways to improve and help all of their models get attention in any way they can. Providing features like weekly and monthly contests, their own magazine, blogs, fan clubs (aka Crush) and so much more. Creating an all-in-one platform with bright colors and inclusivity for all types of models, ManyVids is focused on making their models feel heard and supported and know that if we are all happy we will make better content and that benefits all of us. I’m really content with where I am. I’ve settled down and can’t wait to see how far I can go, now that I can put all my attention on them.

XBIZ: How have your favorite sites partnered with you for success, in selling your content and access to your live performances, either directly or indirectly?

Bensi: ManyVids has helped me so much over the years. They are always so supportive and open for advice at any hour. If you’re active and working hard they notice and they make sure you’re appreciated for it. They are always willing to help promote anything you need if asked and never make you feel silly for it. My favorite memory was shooting with them for their magazine, I felt so uplifted and beautiful and to this day they are some my most favorite pictures. Grateful is too little of a word for how I feel regarding how much they have supported my work and continue making me feel important.

And MyFreeCams has helped me make some really important connections throughout the years and helped me land a few mainstream industry jobs, which were such awesome experiences. They throw some amazing parties and social events for us girls, which always helps with networking and getting exposure, giving us a safe place to collab with other models. Just recently, they featured me in their Halloween promo video, which again was a sweet reminder that they see me.

It’s just always a nice feeling to know that the sites you’re working with and sharing a cut of your profits with, do indeed see and appreciate you as an individual. I feel like it is easy to fall into the thought of “getting lost in the crowd” and when these sites do things like this you are reminded that it’s all in your head and your hard work is being seen.

XBIZ: Talk about a typical week for you, as far as how you split your time between various revenue streams.

Bensi: Oh lawd! LMFAO. Currently, I’ve been trying to condense my platforms, pick the ones I do the best on and focus on building those bigger instead of spreading my self as thin as I’m spread currently. So, a typical week for me is a very early morning shift on MyFreeCams, then after I either nap or go to the gym, I edit and film the content I’ll be posting that next week. I try to have videos already in the wings so I can promote and hype them up for a longer time.

I’m also trying to focus more on my YouTube channel, so filming for that weekly and coming up with topics, engaging with those subscribers is a whole other job. Later in the night, usually around 7 or 8, I’ll log onto ManyVids live and hang out on there until I go to sleep. I also get the occasional Skype or Snap show during the week, so I’ll usually do them before bed in most cases.

This is pretty much my every day. I try to get out at least two videos a week and I do try to give myself a day off here or there but currently, the way I set things up for myself its been very consuming as far as my free time goes.

XBIZ: How do you balance work with real-life, to not get burned out, but also keep pushing hard?

Bensi: I don’t. Cam modeling over the past year has become all-consuming in my life, but I blame that on the site-hopping I did over the past few years. So, my focus right now is building my fandom strong and gaining the traction and exposure I need to be where I want to be in my career currently. Unfortunately, I’ve had moments of burnout, but now, I try to give myself downtime every day — even if it’s small things such as the gym or a nice bath. Painting has also helped a lot recently as an outlet for stress.

What motivates me though are my goals and my bigger picture. I have a lot planned for my future, personally and within the industry, and I feel like I know the steps to get me there, so I’m doing what I believe is needed to make my dreams a reality. I really don’t mind dedicating my every day to cam and content if it means I’m on my way to where I want to be.

XBIZ: Describe your strategies for marketing yourself to fans, both regulars and potential new ones.

Bensi: With the recent social media blackouts, it’s been difficult to market and promote. It can be stressful and upsetting, but it’s imperative to instead focus on creativity and authenticity. I see this as social networks doubting the adult industry’s ability to be multifaceted.

I’m more than “sex” and if they are going to suppress our “sexual” way of expressing, then I’ll take this opportunity to grow my presence in other ways — focusing on my SFW content and applying my sexual energy into making better and more unique videos and live streams. Recently, I’ve been taking classes in editing and photography, while also learning about scriptwriting and directing.

So, to answer this question more straightforwardly I’ve been showing more sides of myself, using my talents in makeup, art and singing to attract new fans and enhance my presence online and working with the APU and others to put a stop to this discrimination.

XBIZ: What kind of cam show activities do your fans seem to enjoy the most?

Bensi: My room tends to go one of two ways: it’s super silly and weird or we are having a deep conversation and solving the world’s mysteries, haha. We love games like roulette and Jenga, cosplay and video games. I love doing themed days like “Tequila Tuesdays.” Sometimes, I send them on little hunts for secret code words that get them free content or make me do something silly if they are said. I try to keep it exciting but also familiar.

I love it when we get a new member and — without me having to ask — a regular of mine will take them under their wing and start explaining our games. I try to create a sense of community. I want everyone to feel safe and comfortable so they can be their true selves and relieve a little of that everyday stress we are all burdened with. So as for what they enjoy the most, I’d assume it’s different for each of them, but I hope they would all say that they feel like they can express their true selves regardless of the plans we have set for that day.

XBIZ: Any other cam models or major industry figures you look up to, for inspiration?

Bensi: This industry has been so welcoming and loving. I’ve interacted with so many amazing models, admiring and looking up to so many industry figures. That’s the amazing part about this industry, it’s full of people who are so talented, creative, strong and intelligent with models like (in no order) BunzzBunnyy, Destiny Diaz, Ginger Banks, Reya Sunshine, Veronica Rodriguez, Vera Sky, Elise Laurenne, Violet Doll, Catjira, Alex Coal, Forest Bonnie, Jada Kai, Mary Moody ... they have all inspired and befriended me, which I’m so grateful for. All of these girls are a constant reminder for me to stay passionate and authentic. Watching them over the years, seeing each of them grow by doing things you can tell they absolutely love keeps me going at times I feel lost, and reminds me to stay on my own path.

Then you have amazing women such as Sam Phillips, Holly Randall, Shan Boodram, Alana Evans and Emily Morse who are all about empowerment, education and art for the adult industry, changing it for the better from inside for the industry workers themselves and in the eyes of people looking in who may not understand or support us yet.

Everyone named here is the constant inspiration for my YouTube channel “Secret Life of a Camgirl,” which is my small way to give back and attempt to make a difference. I hope I can inspire change in a similar capacity the same way these people have inspired me.

XBIZ: Give us a glimpse of your top goals for 2020 and beyond.

Bensi: This year has really got me thinking on new levels. There are so many things I am aiming to do in 2020 and I’m excited to manifest them. Some highlights would be doing more cosplay, going to more conventions including Anime Expo, Exxxotica and others I’ve been craving to experience. I’m working on building my Patreon and creating/continuing my online magazine. It would be amazing to go on an exotic vacation and make some content soon.

In terms of the big picture, I really, really found my passion — and feel the most fulfilled — helping and supporting other models and creators in this industry. I’d love to grow that into a trusted business that can provide resources and support others along with becoming a well-known figure in general. I dream to make an impact and encourage change. I truly feel like I have the flexibility to choose any passion or path that makes me happy and that is why the adult industry is such an asset.
