Q&A: Alexa Pearl Is a Wild and Cultured Jewel

Q&A: Alexa Pearl Is a Wild and Cultured Jewel

Alexa Pearl is as precious as the glistening gemstones that are her namesake, a rare beauty both wild and cultured, with eyes like gemstones that reflect oceanic depths.

Tide pools dance to the moonlight in her sea nymph aura, shimmering iridescently in a shifting mosaic of coral wonders.

Famed on ManyVids as “MissAlexaPearl,” a top 30-ranked MV Star, she has gained a major following. Especially popular are her POV MILF-themed videos, thanks to the maternal warmth of her gaze and her goddess-like cleavage.

Playfully loving, this Pearl is truly worth being treasured, which is why she is gracing these pages as XBIZ Cam Star of the Month. Come then and be happily shipwrecked by her stormy spirit, in this exclusive interview.

XBIZ: How long have you been in the adult industry, and what motivated you to join?

Pearl: I started in the adult industry camming occasionally at the age of 18, because I needed money to pay my bills and help me with the costs of college! I had done quite a bit of research and it wasn't until I started my private Snapchat, which exploded and helped me grow my mass following, that I really became more motivated to pursue the industry.

I felt like I spent too much time posting content on my Snapchat, when I could just create videos and allow fans to purchase them, or even just get their own custom content, so I decided to really push ManyVids, which has been a proven success for me!

XBIZ: What is the "Alexa Pearl" brand, in a nutshell, if you had to describe your overall vibe, aesthetic and personality?

Pearl: Alexa Pearl ... sweet, spunky, kinky, dirty and just wants to satisfy all your urges. I like to think of myself as a "cummedian," mainly because I’m making the world a better place one orgasm at a time, right? I have no problem incorporating my humor or silliness in my videos and just want my fans to know I’m a laid-back, fun and outgoing individual who wants to make your day or night with some yummy content!

XBIZ: Describe the biggest changes to your clips content, as you've become more experienced with shooting and discovered what your fans seem to love the most.

Pearl: My content has drastically changed over the course of the past two years. Everything from directing my own scenes, to scripting the content, enhancing and upgrading camera and lighting equipment, has all changed my productions entirely. I’ve found that my biggest request from fans has been to have me create custom content just for them!

With that, I’ve allowed fans to send me scripts and give me all the juicy details of what they would like to see in their video I produce, and it makes the experience more fun for the two of us! I let them have the option to choose hairstyles, outfits, roleplay scenes and more! The greatest part of it all is for customs with no name use, I may repost it on my ManyVids profile for other fans to enjoy! This way, fetishes that you didn't even realize would cater to many, get tremendous love from more than just one individual.

I think it’s so crucial for individuals who are getting involved in this industry and creating their own content to realize how important it is to reinvest into your creations. The more you invest and put into it, the more payout you'll achieve!

XBIZ: What platform do you most often sell your content on, and why?

Pearl: I’m currently selling the vast majority of my content on ManyVids.com. I absolutely admire and love the community and outlet that ManyVids has built for the adult industry. I truly believe they are revolutionizing the industry as a whole and allowing everyone from all over the world to see just how much work sex workers put into what they do. Sex work is work.

There is no greater feeling to be a part of a community, where everyone supports everyone. I love that their site constantly is adding fun new contests, and ways to promote yourself entirely. In conclusion as to why I truly admire and stick to selling my content with ManyVids, it’s just an overall feeling of equality and that’s what makes it stand out.

XBIZ: Discuss your marketing strategies, especially the different ways you use social media sites and how you keep fans engaged overall.

Pearl: When I first began my Instagram — Alexa.Pearl — I really just worked alongside other pages and did a lot of SFS (shoutout for shoutouts) to get my page out there. I would say that being consistent in posting non-nude content and occasionally live streaming certainly helps grow that following!

This industry is ever-growing and booming at a tremendous rate and there is just so much competition, and beautiful men and women who are trying to get out there! For me specifically, I found that Twitter was more adult-friendly than Instagram, so I enabled the option for ManyVids to post when I would make sales on my Twitter. I occasionally post free, short content on Pornhub to get some exposure and I think doing that every so often allows you to really gain new followers without having to put money into advertising.

XBIZ: As far as clips, what kind of content is your tried-and-true main source of sales (genre, style, theme, etc.) and what experimental videos have proven surprisingly successful?

Pearl: I would say POV MILF, dirty talk and my voluptuous breasts have been my biggest go-to for fans! I’m very open to trying new "themes" for customs ... and if I don't feel comfortable, I just let my fan know so we can tweak it in some way to get rid of whatever I’m not okay with.

As far as experimental videos that proved to be surprisingly successful ... I had an astounding number of fans ask for impregnation content. I didn’t know how I felt about it at first, but when I found out my overfill and impregnate video was one of the best-selling videos on the site I was so ecstatic to see it had  brought so much pleasure to so many people.

XBIZ: Tell us about your approach to connecting with others in the adult industry. Are you more of a lone wolf or do you interact/collaborate with peers regularly?

Pearl: I feel as though when I first started out and until recently, I was definitely more of a lone wolf, unfortunately. I think that because there’s so much competition it can be hard to find other girls who are willing to help lift you up as well because everyone wants to be at the top and doesn't necessarily want to see you do better than them. That’s just a fact.

So, finding those special individuals who just want to collaborate and create content together has been a little challenging for me! It hasn't been until recently that I started linking up with some other beautiful talented ladies in the adult world, some of whom may not cam, but rather work in clubs/dancing and they have shown tremendous support, so I think that’s a great start!

Also, it feels that there is a certain divide between individuals working in the mainstream porn and those creating their own content. There’s way more help in marketing and getting out there by companies in the mainstream porn industry.

XBIZ: What kind of content have you not yet shot, that you're considering delving into?

Pearl: I’d say one of my biggest requests has been to shoot with other males ... and females too! I have considered once or twice shooting with other females, however I think I’m still a little shy and need to be talked into this one with someone I really truly trust!

XBIZ: Talk about the biggest ways you've evolved, personally and professionally, since joining the adult biz.

Pearl: Joining the adult biz has changed me in so many ways. To start I’ve realized what it truly means to not care what others think of me. It’s the number one characteristic I feel you have to have in this industry in order to succeed and it helps overall and generally in everything you do!

Personally, I’ve become much stronger willed, learned what I’m capable of doing and that I can do whatever I put my mind to and truly be successful at it too if I just give it my all. The most important personal evolution has been to keep myself grounded and down to earth the way I was before I got into this industry. Professionally, I’ve learned so many business aspects such as marketing, reinvestment and development to create bigger and better content, while just overall showing myself that I don't need to work for someone else to be successful. I’ve also shown myself that even though there are plenty of obstacles in every industry, including the adult biz, I can overcome anything I put my mind to!

XBIZ: What are your future goals for 2020 and beyond?

Pearl: 2020 will be a year full of meeting new fans, and collaborating with others, I hope! I’m so consumed with custom content, it’s hard to say what else I’ll be adding in, but I’ve got some big stuff in the works that will surely be enjoyed by many!
